CHART topping singers and entertainers from Britain’s Got Talent will headline this Sunday’s Wakefield Pride.
The final preparations are being put into place to make the seventh annual celebration of diversity and equality the best ever.
And it kicks off at 1pm on Southgate in the city centre.
One of the highlights will be Father and Son who have appeared on Simon Cowell’s ITV talent show.
Paul Wood, president of Wakefield Pride, said: “We have a boyband called STW who are an up-and-coming group who played at Leeds Pride last Sunday and are really good.
“We also have a female singer, Redd, who is at number one in the Japanese charts at the moment.
“And we have Back to The Future who are a local band that do hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s who are also very good.”
Mr Wood said: “The weather forecast for Sunday is supposed to good so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that the sun comes out to make this year’s Pride the best ever.”
The free event has been supported by Wakefield Council and a number of charities and organisations.
