Wakefield Trinity Wildcats player Andy Raleigh will kick off a celebration of his career with a testimonial match this weekend.
The prop has been awarded a three-month testimonial for his services to rugby league during the past 12 years.
His celebrations will get underway when Wildcats take on Huddersfield Giants at the Rapid Solicitors Stadium, on Sunday, January 26 at 3pm.
The teams will wear special shirts, which have been sponsored byBenfield Toyota.
Players will then sign them and auction them off after the game to raise funds for the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust.
Mr Raleigh, 32, said: “It’s a great a charity and I am proud to be able to help.
“I’m looking forward to the game and I have plenty of other events planned as part of my testimonial.
“I feel fortunate to have been paid to do something I love for so long, especially as I play in one of the toughest positions.”
