KIDS have been taking to the pool like ducks to water thanks to an organisation running baby swimming classes.
And Puddle Ducks is celebrating its 10th birthday this week.
Kids and parents attending its classes in Wakefield received birthday cupcakes and helped raise cash for children’s cancer charity the Candlelighters as raffle tickets were sold and donations collected.
Faye Burrell, who set up Puddle Ducks’ Wakefield Franchise in 2006, said: “When we started, baby swimming was quite new, but it has really taken off.”
Youngsters aged between nought and eight attend Puddle Ducks classes with their parents at venues around the district.
Ms Burrell said: “Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise. There’s nothing better than seeing children develop their confidence in the water.”
