Snow showers are expected to fall again across Wakefield tonight.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning with more snow forecast tonight (Tuesday) and continuing into Wednesday morning.
Up to five centimetres could fall again on higher ground, with icy patches affecting some surfaces where snow has started to melt.
Drivers are warned to take extra care and there could be a risk of some disruption to travel routes.
A cold easterly wind will continue to bring showers of snow, hail and sleet into the county as temperatures dip below freezing overnight.
But temperatures are set to rise by the end of the week.
