Wood Street in Wakefield will welcome stallholders and entertainers for its third community market.
Wood Street Market will run from 10am to 2pm on Sunday, as street food, clothes and arts and crafts go on sale .
Live music and street performers will also appear at the market in the city’s historic civic quarter.
Unique Wakefield, a collective of independent retailers who produce a guide to places to eat drink and shop in the city, teamed up with Architecture 1B, Woodhead Investments and Wakefield Civic Society to launch the project with help from the council.
Architecture 1B’s Darren Bailey said there would be more than 60 stalls at Sunday’s event.
He said: “There are going to be significantly more stalls this Sunday and there will be more music.
“The feedback we had from the first two markets was very positive. A lot of people have been saying this is just what needed to happen for Wakefield.
“The market also seems to have widened its reach a bit as we have been getting interest from places further afield like Leeds.”
The road will be closed to traffic for the event.
