Young rapper’s rhymes for terminally ill uncle

A JUNIOR rapper who has been inspired by a terminally ill uncle is hoping his words can raise £10,000 for a cancer hospital.

Dylan Broadbent, known as Dylz, has entered the Rap for a Cause competition on as a tribute to his uncle Adam, who suffers from terminal cancer.

And if enough people ‘like’ the rap through Facebook, Dylan, 11, will win £10,000 for The Christie, a specialist hospital in Manchester which has helped to treat his uncle’s.

Dylan’s dad Jamie, of Tingley, said: “Dylan learnt some skills at a music camp in February and he really wanted to help.

“The Christie has done an amazing job for Adam, they have really kept him going. Originally he had just a week to live, but for a year he has been doing great.”

And Manchester guitar legend, and former Smiths and Cribs member, Johnny Marr has been getting showng his support on Twitter and Facebook.
