COOL kids showed they had the stamina and style of West End show stoppers by holding a day-long dance-a-thon.
Pupils at Lee Brigg Infants School took turns to dance for half-hour sessions all day to raise money for the Children with Leukemia cancer charity.

Children came to school dressed in tracksuits and dance clothes ready to get down and boogie.

The event was organised by the Friends of Lee Brigg School.

Jill Abson, treasurer of the group, said: "There is a fantastic atmosphere in school today, all the children are very excited. I think the staff and parents are more apprehensive because we have a whole day of dance ahead of us and I don't know if we can keep up.

"It's wonderful that the children are doing this for charity because it is important for them to think about others, especially children who are less fortunate than themselves."

All the children taking part were sponsored by family and friends for the event.

Half of the money raised will go to Children with Leulemia and the rest will go towards buying equipment for the school.
