ALL the fun of the fair came to Normanton town centre last week.
More than 80 children from all around the district enjoyed rides including the dodgems and the helter skelter.

Normanton Town Council holds the free funfair every year for children and young adults with special needs.

Various schools with special needs pupils were invited, including Pathways School from Castleford and Northfield School from South Kirkby, and the fair was open to the public.

Coun Denton Jones, the Mayor of Normanton, said: “All the children had a great time at the fair.

“I even had a go on the dodgems. After they went on all the rides, all the children got an ice-cream. It was a great day.”

The town council would like to thank Alexandra and Evan Moran and Son for providing the fair free of charge, and Sprinkles Ice-Cream for the refreshments and M and G Travel for helping out with transport.
