Rotary raises cash

ROTARIANS have donated £1,400 to a global campaign to eradicate polio from every country in the world.
The Normanton club has backed Rotary International’s PolioPlus initiative, which aims to raise $100m to make a polio-free world.

A sportsman’s dinner and a crazy golf evening at Normanton Parish Church raised the cash.

The club’s foundation chairman, Robert Burgess, said: “We are delighted to have risen to the challenge.”
