A CONCERT celebrating each decade of Ossett Town Hall's 100 years will mark the centenary of the landmark.
A Century of Musical Gold will feature music from 1900 until the present as part of the centenary celebrations, which started in June.

The concert will feature performances from West Yorkshire Brass and Ossett theatre groups E.Chaos and the Elizabethans Amateur Operatic Society.

Songs which were performed at the opening ceremony in 1908 will be heard again, after organisers researched the original programme from the historic event. Songs by Abba and the Beatles, and tunes from Disney films will also feature in the show.

Peter Savage, from the Elizabethans Amateur Operatic Society, said: “It should be a great show for both young and old people to celebrate the town hall centenary. There will be something for everyone.”

Tickets for the event, on Saturday, October 11, can be bought by calling the town hall ticket secretary on 01924 280344.
