ARMY chefs put Ossett School pupils through their paces and gave youngsters a taste of the world of work.
Pupils at the Storrs Hill Road school prepared a meal for teachers on the technology day, held as part of National Design and Technology Week.
Graphic designers Howe Eccles and Julie Yarrow helped pupils design posters and business cards, while others were shown creative techniques from artist Jennifer Collier.
And the youngsters designed play equipment for disabled pupils during the day which was aimed at giving them problem solving experience.
Teacher Fiona Kilby said: “The day was a huge success and everyone enjoyed it. The event helped the children to learn important new skills and to give them an insight into the possible experiences and also problems they may face in the workplace.”
