BALLOONS were released at the funeral for tragic toddler Archie-Lee Hirst.
More than 150 people attended at St Paul's Church, on St Paul's Drive, in Alvethorpe for the service at noon today (Monday).

Archie-Lee was killed when he was attacked by his grandparents' rottweiler in the backyard of their home on Chald Lane, in the city centre on December 28 last year.

The 13-month-old toddler was spending Christmas with his grandparents when the dog attacked him.

His aunt, Kara Hirst, 16, tried to save her nephew but he died later in hospital from his injuries.

The funeral took place on the same day the Crown Prosecution Service said no one will face charges in connection with the death of Archie-Lee.

See Friday's Express for more on the funeral.
