SHAOLIN Warriors and colourful dragons aren't what you'd usually expect to find in Clarence Park, but that's exactly what you'll get when the Chinese State Circus come to town
SHAOLIN Warriors and colourful dragons aren't what you'd usually expect to find in Clarence Park, but that's exactly what you'll get when the Chinese State Circus come to town.
World class acrobatics, martial arts, gymnastics and physical theatre come together in the circus' new show, The Olympic Nation Spectacular, produced to celebrate this year's Beijing Olympics.
Front of house manager Todd Christian said: "When the children are sitting in the big top they are amazed at the acrobatic displays, especially with the Shaolin monks. There is nothing quite like them."
There's everything from back-flips through rotating hoops to the plate spinning oriental divas and a beautifully costumed lion dance.
The Chinese State Circus will be appearing at Clarence Park Arena, Denby Dale Road until Sunday, April 27.
Performances take place tonight, Friday April 25 at 5pm and 7.45pm. Tomorrow at 3pm and 7.45pm and on Sunday 2pm and 5pm.
Tickets are available by contacting ticketmaster on 0844 576 5506
