HEAD coach John Kear believes that the Wakefield Wildcats have their best chance to reach the Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-finals in more than 20 years.
Following the quarter-final draw in which the 'Cats were drawn at home to National League Two outfit Oldham, Kear said that his team had a "marvellous opportunity" to progress.
He said: "It is a good draw for us and to get a home game is a real bonus. It is a marvellous opportunity and a great chance to reach the semi-finals and perhaps the final."
He added: "The squad and club are gaining momentum but we have told the players to forget about the Oldham game for now.
"We have two massive games against Leeds and Wigan before then."

And Kear will be looking for a similar performance to that shown in Wakefield's 58-6 victory at Barrow in the fifth round last weekend.
Kear said: "It was a test to see if we could focus and prepare for a game against a team from a lower division. It was a professional performance and all credit should go to the players."
