WILDCATS centre Sean Gleeson can't wait to return to the JJB Stadium to try and get one over on his former club.
The 20-year-old started his career at his home town club but feels he didn't get a fair crack of the whip during his time there, making just six appearances for the Warriors.

And as well as coming up against some of his best friends, Gleeson will be looking to show the Warriors just what they're missing after enjoying his longest run of matches in Super League with the Wildcats.

The youngster has started the last six matches in the red, white and blue, although four of the six starts have been on the wing rather than his preferred centre role.

"I kept waiting and waiting for my chance with Wigan but it never came so I took my chance with Wakefield," he said.

"It'll be a good chance for me to go back to the JJB Stadium, get one over my old club, and show them what I'm all about.

"A couple of my best mates are still there so it's a match that I'm really looking forward to and I can't wait to get out there and try and get the two points for Wakefield.

"My preferred position is in ther centre but I'm just glad to be in the team at the moment and am more thann happy to play on the wing.

"My first match playing on the wing was the home victory over Hull KR and I thought I did OK, and I'm sure with a couple more games I'll get more used to it."

Brian Noble's men have had a mixed start to Super League XIII.

And Gleeson is confident that Wildcats can return over the Pennines with something to show from their efforts despite the quick turnaround of matches over the Easter period.

"You never know what Wigan side you're going to be up against when you go there," he continued.

"But we'll have a couple of players back in our squad so we're confident that we come back with some points.

"It's obviously not easy playing so many matches in so many days, especially going over to France, but we're all professionals and we should be able to deal with it."

The last month has been a productive time for Gleeson, who celebrated bagging a regular spot in the 'Cats starting line-up by agreeing a new contract which will keep him at the club until the end of 2010.

And he had no hesitation in putting pen-to-paper on a new deal at Belle Vue.

He continued: "My current deal was up at the end of 2008 so it was important that I got my future cleared up.

"Wakefield have given me a chance here and it's great to sign a new contract until the end of 2010."

Gleeson was part of the Wakefield side that bagged the impressive 32-6 victory over the Warriors last season, and he'll be hoping for more of the same on his first return to his former club.
