IN the same week that Wildcats brought Hull FC forward Matt Dale in on loan, head coach John Kear has revealed that he is lining-up a long-term signing.
Kear was not yet prepared to identify the player but he revealed: "We are looking at one particular player and we plan to put him on a two-and-a-half year contract.

"This signing and Matt Dale's loan are not panic signings, they are pro-active and for the future."

And Kear believes that Dale, who has been named in the 19-man squad for the home game against Harlequins on Saturday, could prove to be a big hit.

Kear said: "I think the fans will see what a good player he is. Matt is a strong runner who hits good lines and he is a tough defender.

"He will get first-team opportunities and I know that Paul Broadbent (Wildcats' first team coach] will enjoy working with the guy."
