NORMANTON Knights A and Westgate Redoubt will do battle in the final of the Wakefield ARL Buildbase Cup at College Grove tonight, kick-off 7.30pm.
Both sides have enjoyed relatively successful campaigns on the pitch and will be hoping to put the icing on the cake with victory in the competition.

CMS Yorkshire League Division 2 promotion hopefuls Normanton enjoyed success in the competition in 2005, bagging a victory over Ryhill Hammers at Post Office Road, while Westgate also have fond memories after taking glory in 2001.

But its been a while since the duo competed a cup final, the last meeting being at Belle Vue in December 1992 for the final of the BARLA Yorkshire Cup.

A number of old heads for both teams will be hoping to lift the trophy tonight, while youngsters from the Knights and Redoubt will be playing in their first cup final at open age level.

And the clash is sure to be a mouthwatering one at College Grove tonight, all spectators welcome for a 7.30pm kick-off.
