WAKEFIELD Wildcats full-back Scott Grix admits that he has had to adapt his game since joining the club in the close-season.
Grix, who turns 24 this week, said: "I am happy with the way things are going for me so far this season because I am playing games.
"I am a full-back but recently I have played four different positions in as many games. I don't mind at all because rugby league is a team sport and I try to give 100 per-cent wherever I play.
"The team have had to cope with a lot of injuries but everyone in the squad has rolled their sleeves up and got on with it."
He added: "It is good for me that I have experienced playing in different positions. I never thought of myself as a utility player but to be honest, I have enjoyed it.
"I think that my all-round game has improved and my reading of the game has got better. You get to see what is happening in other parts of the pitch and that is important."
Grix, who moved from Widnes Vikings in the close-season, also recognises the pressure of playing at the highest level. He said: "Everything matters more, to players and the club, and it is very intense.
"But we have had some good results and there is great confidence within the team.
"We are all aiming for a top-six finish but at the moment, we are not looking at the table. We are concentrating on what we are doing - getting wins and kicking-on."
