WILDCATS players took a well-deserved break from Super League action as they reached the halfway stage of the competition.
John Kear and his troops are in a rich vein of form, currently five matches unbeaten in all competition, and occupy the final play-off spot in Super League XIII.

And the 'Cats squad took time for some ten-pin bowling action at Wakefield Superbowl as Kear gave his men a welcome break from some gruelling training sessions in recent weeks.

Full-back Matt Blaymire was crowned king-pin, with prizes also going to player performance manager Richard Tunningley who finished in 10th place and new signing Matty Dale who was welcomed to the squad by finishing 20th.

And Wildcats partner Nando's welcomed the players for dinner after their ten-pin bowling exploits.

Kear will be hoping the team-bonding sessions will leave his troops refreshed and ready to bowl over Barrow as they look to reach the quarter-final spots of the Challenge Cup this weekend.
