WAKEFIELD Wildcats head coach Richard Agar is set to field a mixed squad of players in Sunday’s final pre-season trial game at Batley Bulldogs (kick-off 2pm).

Prop Oliver Wilkes could return following an operation to remove his appendix, while players such as Andy Ellis, Kyle Trout and Kyle Wood, who were all replacements in Sunday’s trial game win over Castleford Tigers, are expected to feature.

Some of the club’s younger stars are also expected to play although all players will be from the club’s full-time playing squad.

There will be some familiar faces for Wildcats fans within the Batley ranks, not least head coach John Kear, who took control of the Co-operative Championship club in the close season.

Youth players Tom Henderson and Gareth Potts followed Kear to Mount Pleasant and Gareth Moore announced his return to his former club at the weekend following his release from the last year of his contract at Wakefield.

Tickets for Sunday’s game are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for concessions and £1 for juniors.
