WAKEFIELD boxer Andy Townend will go toe-to-toe with Bulgarian opposition in his second professional bout this weekend after a late change to who he’ll face in the ring.

Townend, from Portobello, was due to take on Marc Callaghan at the Doncaster Dome on Saturday but his opponent has been forced to withdraw after agreeing to a fight last weekend. Rules state a boxer has to wait at least seven days until competing in his next professional bout.

Townend, 22, will now face Bulgarian boxer Evgeni Geshev at the Dome on Saturday night. Geshev, also 22, has won one and lost two of his professional fights so far.

Tickets to support Andy are still on sale and will be available on the door. For more information contact Andy on 07807 427954 or his trainer Stefy Bull on 07976 328015.
