HUDDERSFIELD Town’s run of 43 league games unbeaten finally came to an end last night, Monday, when they lost 2-0 at npower League One table-toppers Charlton Athletic.

Yann Kermorgant’s header midway through the first half and Hogan Ephraim’s strike four minutes before the break proved enough for Athletic, who are now seven points clear at the top of the table.

Lee Clark’s Town, whose unbeaten run set a new Football League record, remain in third place only one adrift of the automatic promotion spots.
