After a magnificent season, the Reds went into the First Division North play-off final at Throstle Nest full of confidence but it was Celtic who took the lead early in the second half when Adam Clayton headed home.

Danny Frost levelled for Town 20 minutes from time and it looked like they were heading for the Premier Division when Frost fired home with only three minutes left.

However, Celtic weren’t finished and Richard Marshall tapped-in deep into injury time to force extra time.

Ryan Watson’s superb long-range strike put Farsley ahead on 110 minutes and as Town pushed forward in desperation, James Walshaw grabbed Celtic’s fourth two minutes later.
