WAKEFIELD striker Oli Johnson has signed for npower League Two new boys York City.

The former Nostell MW player has been a free agent since his release from Oxford United at the end of last season but the 24 year-old has been snapped up by the Minstermen following their return to the Football League.

Johnson, who had spells at Stockport County and Norwich City before joining Oxford, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal, with an option to extend his stay at Bootham Crescent.
