OSSETT Albion brought a five-game run without a win to a halt on Tuesday night with a 2-1 home win over Durham City.

The Warehouse Systems Stadium club, who are set for Northern Counties East League football next term, refused to throw in the towel and got off to the perfect start when Danny Toronczak gave them a sixth-minute lead.

Amar Purewal levelled for the visitors just before the half-hour mark but Albion grabbed the three points thanks to a Doran Jordan strike early in the second half.

Wakefield FC were also in Division 1 North action last night but failed to continue their impressive run of form as Radcliffe Borough left College Grove with a slender 2-1 victory.

The Bears’ Luke Danville had levelled a Declan Fletcher opener early in the second half but the visitors secured the win through Ben Wharton’s 68th-minute strike.
