Ossett Town had a full representative team at the County FA Girls Football Festival for the first time.

The event is run as an indoor five a side festival once a month to introduce young girls to football.

Organised by Chris Hoyle of the West Riding Girls Football League in conjunction with the County FA at The Sports Centre Leeds, it is growing more popular every month.

The FA Tesco Skills Team are also on hand to provide skill sessions in between matches.

The two-hour event saw the girls play five matches against other clubs in West Yorkshire and they played extremely well.

Ossett Town girls train at 10am on Saturday mornings at Highfield School, High Street, Gawthorpe WF5 9BS. From Thursday, April 3, there will be weekly Thursday night sessions 6pm at Gawthorpe Community Academy, High Street, Gawthorpe WF5 9QP.

All sessions are run by CRB checked and FA qualified coaches and open to girls from 5 to 11 years old.
