Ossett Town aim to bounce back against struggling Lairds

OSSETT Town will look to bounce back from their heaviest defeat of the season when they welcome Cammell Laird to Stade France tomorrow, Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Phil Sharpe’s men slumped to a 5-0 defeat at promotion-chasing Witton Albion last weekend but will fancy their chances of getting back to winning ways against a Lairds side stuck in the Evo-Stik Division 1 North relegation zone.

Lairds have lost eight and drawn one of their nine away games in the league this season and Town will be eager to capitalise and move away from the relegation spots.

Ossett Albion are also on home soil on Saturday when they look to derail Harrogate Railway Athletic (kick-off 3pm).

Albion haven’t won in 12 games in all competitions but will be somewhat boosted with their draw at Wakefield FC last weekend - a draw that ended a run of eleven straight defeats.

Wakefield FC make the trip across the Pennines to face Bamber Bridge (kick-off 3pm).

The Bears sit five points behind Bridge going into the game and will target their first win since mid-September.
