OSSETT Town booked their place in the FA Cup first qualifying round with a 3-1 victory at Glass Houghton Welfare last night.
Town were forced into a preliminary round replay after the Northern Counties East League side held them to a 0-0 stalemate at Stade France on Saturday.
But the Evo-Stik Division 1 North side made no mistake at the second time of asking to book a date against Wakefield FC, Town’s ground-sharing tenants, at Stade France.
Kevin Sanasy gave the visitors a first-half lead before Ryan White (pictured) all-but sealed Town’s progressed in the 73rd minute.
The hosts refused to throw in the towel though and made things tense for Town when Andrew Seed pulled a goal back with seven minutes to go.
But Town responded in the perfect manner with Andy Catton restoring their two-goal cushion just minutes later.
Town will take on Wakefield FC in the first qualifying round at Stade France on Saturday, September 17 (kick-off 3pm).
