OSSETT Town have been given a huge incentive to win tomorrow night’s FA Trophy third qualifying round replay against Solihull Moors after being handed a potential tie at York City in the next round.
The draw for the first round proper took place today and handed Town or Moors a lucrative trip to Bootham Crescent to face the Blue Square Bet Conference high-fliers.
The clash would take place on Saturday, December 10 and as well as collecting £4,000 in FA prize money for progression to the next round, the winner of tomorrow’s replay at Stade France would enjoy a big pay-day against the Minstermen, who are sure to attract a big crowd for the clash.
Lee Garside hit a last-minute penalty to give Town a 2-2 draw at Solihull on Saturday and force a replay against the Blue Square Bet North side.
Town’s Niall O’Brien had levelled a Lee Morris opener before Junior English seemingly netted the winner for the hosts with 14 minutes to go.
But Garside’s spot-kick will see Town get another bite of the cherry on home soil tomorrow night (kick-off 7.45pm).
