Ossett Town Juniors will be expanding their youth section after getting their hands on a £5,000 grant from the Football Foundation.
The club were awarded the Grow the Game grant earlier this month and are now looking to introduce extra under 11s team for the upcoming 2013/14 season.
They will also use the money to help start up a girls team to join their successful junior section.
The club currently runs teams from under fives to under 19s, and regularly holds galas and soccer schools for children in the area.
Chris Harrison, Ossett Town Juniors Charter Standard Coordinator, said: “We aim to put the club at the heart of the community and to increase the number of local children playing football.
“We’re currently recruiting players for our under 11s age group for the 2013/14 season and the funding allows us to focus some professional coaching in the local schools, with Clayton Flower of Complete Sport already taking coaching sessions in South Parade, Towngate, Southdale and Gawthorpe Junior Schools.
“We are also running a Pre Season Programme for the under 11s age group which will be overseen by Clayton.”
The under 11s Pre Season Programme commences on Wednesday, July 17 at 6-7pm at Haggs Hill Playing Fields, off Queens Drive, Ossett.

The club will also be running two Summer Holiday Soccer Academies this year, the first on August 5-8, and the second on August 27-29.
