OSSETT Town will look to avoid an FA Cup upset and book their place in the first qualifying round when they visit Glass Houghton Welfare tonight in a preliminary round replay (kick-off 7.45pm).

Neither side could find the decisive goal in Saturday’s clash at Stade France but the Northern Counties East League side will have left Ossett the happier of the two sides.

Glass Houghton will fancy their chances on home soil tonight after holding their higher-division opponents to a stalemate and will go into the clash full of confidence following their league victory against Pontefract Collieries last time out.

But Town have made a bright start to their Evo-Stik Division 1 North campaign and currently sit ninth in the table.

They’ll be without Matlock Town loanee Nathan Joynes as part of his loan agreement, while striker Nathan Kemp is also sidelined through injury.

The winner will face Wakefield FC, Town’s ground-sharing tenants, in the next round at Stade France.
