Ossett Town stretched their unbeaten run to seven matches on Tuesday night thanks to a 1-1 draw with Cammell Laird.

Chris Wood’s goal just after the hour mark ensured a share of the spoils for Craig Elliott’s in-form men at Ingfield as Town moved up to eighth in Evo-Stik Division 1 North.

Jamie Henders had given the visitors a first-half lead but Town upped their game in the second half to level and could have taken all three points.

The point also continues Town’s unbeaten record at home so far this season, with two wins and four draws in all competitions at Ingfield.
