Wakefield FC look to return to winning ways against Skelmersdale

WAKEFIELD FC will aim to return to winning ways when they host Skelmersdale United at College Grove tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Bears’ good form since the turn of the year came crashing to a halt last week with a 3-0 midweek defeat at Mossley.

Their chance to hit back against AFC Fylde fell victim of the weather at the weekend but the visit of Skelmersdale gives Steve Nichsolson’s men the chance to continue their fine home form.

Wakefield won their last home game 6-0 against Prescot Cables and are unbeaten in their last eight home matches in Evo-Stik Division 1 North.

Ossett Albion’s battle against relegation from Division 1 North continues when they welcome Garforth Town to the Warehouse Systems Stadium tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

Eric Gilchrist’s men sit 12 points adrift of safety and with a mountain to climb to avoid the drop.

Victory against Garforth is vital if they’re to keep their survival chances alive but Albion will need to end a run of four straight defeats and upset the formbook to do it.
