A quartet of Wakefield teams were involved in the draws for the opening rounds of next season’s FA Cup.
Evo-Stik Premier League trio Ossett Albion, Ossett Town and Wakefield FC joined Northern Counties East League side Nostell MW in the hat for the first three rounds of the 2013-14 competition.
It kicks-off with the Extra Preliminary Round on Saturday, August 17, and Nostell face a trip to Barton Town Old Boys.
If Welfare progress they will travel to face either Bootle or Squire Gates in the Preliminary Round, which will be played on Saturday, August 31 and will see the district’s other three sides enter.
All three Evo-Stik Premier League sides have home ties, with Ossett Town hosting the winner of AFC Emley and Wigan Robin Park, while Albion welcome either Maine Road or Runcorn Linnets and Wakefield FC host New Mills.
The First Qualifying Round was also drawn and if Nostell manage to make it through they will face a trip to Worksop Town on Saturday, September 14.
Wakefield FC could face a trip to one of Warrington Town, Stockport Sports or Winsford United, Ossett Albion could host Runcorn Town, Winterton Rangers, Armthorpe Welfare or Glossop North End and Ossett Town could welcome Bamber Bridge, Staveley MW or Ashton Town to Ingfield.
The draws for the early rounds of the FA Carlsberg Trophy, FA Carlsberg Vase and FA Youth Cup competitions have also been drawn and can be seen at www.thefa.com.
