In Pictures: Yorkshire athletes compete in Wakefield Harriers open athletics meeting
Athletes from across Yorkshire competed in one of the first outdoor track and field events of the year when Wakefield Harriers hosted the John Newsome Memorial Open.
Junior and senior athletes from Wakefield went up against rivals from the likes of Pontefract and Spenborough clubs in the hard-fought competition.
Junior field event specialists started the proceedings before under-17s and senior men and women opened the tack events with the 3,000m.
Sprint and middle distance track events then followed in the popular, action-packed event.
