JUNIOR windsurfing team Pugneys Pirates will aim to win the RYA (Royal Yachting Association) North Zone Team15 Inter-Club Championships on their home waters this weekend.

The Pirates are giving North Lincs Invaders, last year’s winners, a run for their money going into Sunday’s final round in Wakefield.

And they’ll be in confident mood of winning this year’s North Zone competition thanks to home advantage.

The winner will go on to compete against all the other RYA Zone winners for the National Final, the Team15 Champions Cup.

Coquet Crusaders (Amble, Northumberland), Derwent Devils (Durham), Ellerton Scouts (Richmond) and Rother Valley Country Park (Sheffield) are also competing in this year’s competition.

Victory for Pugneys will be extra special thanks to the RYA Team15 initiative enjoying its tenth anniversary this year.
