Beckford hits hat-trick in easy win
LEEDS maintained their League One promotion bid by crushing strugglers Yeovil 4-0 at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
Jermaine Beckford hit a hat-trick to take his season's tally to 28 goals and Neil Kilkenny was also on target as United continued their excellent recent home form.
Beckford struck first in the 25th minute and Kilkenny added a second before the interval.
Beckford netted his second in the 51st minute and then completed his treble a few minutes later.
Leeds had the chance to make it five when Craig Alcock fouled Luciano Becchio inside the box in the 70th minute.
Becchio took the penalty, but sent it over the bar.
