Hughes and Richardson set to return as Leeds United Reserves seek another win
LEEDS United Reserves will get the chance to close the gap on totesport.com League East Division leaders Huddersfield Town when they entertain Scunthorpe United tonight, Tuesday.
Leeds are in a rich vein of form having won their last six games and a victory over Scunthorpe will close the gap on the Terriers to just three points.
Scunthorpe were the last team to beat Leeds when the hosts edged October's contest at Glanford Park 1-0.
However, Leeds Reserves are set to name a strong team that combines youth and experience with Frazer Richardson and Andrew Hughes looking likely to return to action.
Richardson's thigh injury has kept him out for more than two months and Hughes is on the comeback trail having shaken off a hamstring injury.
Keeper Dave Lucas and midfielder Bradley Johnson could also bolster United's line-up while American striker Mike Grella, who netted five goals in two consecutive outings for the reserves, is also gunning for an appearance.
Tonight's game at Elland Road kicks-off at 7pm.
