Cup defeat fails to spoil superb season for Durkar Devils U14s

They may have lost to Thornes in the Charles Rice Supplementary Cup final but Durkar Devils U14s can be proud of a fine season.

Durkar opened the scoring in only the second minute of the final through Conservatory Outlet man of the match Danny Tunningley, but Thornes fought back to lead 2-1 at the break.

Jake Smith’s claims for a penalty were waved away by the referee and Thornes then added three further goals to take the cup.
Durkar won the league with a perfect record of 12 wins out of 12 and triumphed over Thornes in the League Cup final.
