Ossett Albion U13s almost pulled off a fine fightback but lost out 3-2 to Honley in Huddersfield League Division One.
Despite dominating the first half and squandering a host of chances Albion found themselves 2-0 down at the interval courtesy of two long-range free-kicks.
A third Honley goal looked to have sealed the points but Albion’s William Spiers’ curling 20-yard effort inspired the home team.
Albion looked like gaining the point that their efforts deserved when centre-half Tom Corney surged forward before threading a pass through the Honley defence to set Spiers up for his coolly taken second.
The Honley keeper made several fine saves however to keep the hosts at bay.
