LEEDS Carnegie product Calum Clark has been selected in Stuart Lancaster’s 33-man England squad for the Six Nations.

Uncapped flanker Clark, 23, who rose through the ranks at Carnegie before joining Northampton Saints, is among seven changes from the July 2012 senior squad.

Gloucester’s Billy Twelvetrees and Freddie Burns have been called-up, as have Wasps’ Joe Launchbury, Saracens’ David Strettle and Leicester Tigers’ Tom Youngs.

Former Kettlethorpe High School PE teacher and Wakefield RFC player Lancaster, who has also revealed the England Saxons squad, said: “This is a very important year for England, with the Six Nations and the Saxons games to look forward to so there are some great opportunities for the players to demonstrate their club form at international level.

“The summer tour to Argentina will also be a great chance for those players pushing for a place, especially with some of our senior squad hopefully going with the Lions, and chances will undoubtedly arise as we hope to play two midweek games as well as the two tests.”

The England senior squad will warm-up for the Six Nations with a training camp at West Park Leeds RFC between January 20 and January 25.
