SANDAL boss Jim Kilfoyle is targeting a second successive National 3 North win when his side travels to Waterloo today, Saturday.

The Crosby side, who lost 37-10 at Penrith last weekend, are in eighth place and four points behind Kilfoyle’s charges in the league but have recruited heavily during the close season.

Sandal go into the clash at Blundellsands buoyed by their 29-20 home win over Percy Park last Saturday but they are still without winger Alex Orr, centres Dan McCormack and Joe Allott, scrum-half Gareth Newman and prop Luke Norbury.

Centre Mark Pease is unavailable due to work commitments so Joe Atkinson wears the number 13 shirt with Jake Mulhern named in the match day squad.

Flanker James Briscoe makes his second appearance in the squad after his impressive debut performance against Park.

Sandal squad v Waterloo (away, kick off 3pm): T Coad, J Ellar, J Atkinson, D Martin, J Mulhern, S Frewin, G Wood, M Whittingham, J Purcell, J Heron, R Norbury, A Norbury, A Thompson, J Riley, R Overton, J Stewart, S Maguire, J Briscoe, S Whittingham.

The players’ bus leaves at 10.45am with supporters welcome.
