AFTER a disappointing 16-6 loss at Lymm last weekend, Sandal boss Jim Kilfoyle will be expecting better things from his troops when Birkenhead Park visit Milnthorpe Green today, Saturday.

Expectations will be high among the home fans as their team take on Park, who have so far failed to win a National 3 North game this season.

Sandal are without winger Alex Orr and flanker Jonny Gatus through injuries but centres Mark Pease and Joe Allott, second rows Austen Thompson and Rob Overton, flanker Dave Martin, number eight Sam Whittingham are all back.

Scrum-half Max Whittingham makes a welcome return to the match day squad after more than a season absent through injury:

Sandal squad v Birkenhead Park (home, 3pm): T Coad, J Ellar, J Allott, D McCormack, M Pease, S Frewin, G Wood, G Newman, M Whittingham, J Purcell, J Heron, R Norbury, L Norbury, A Thompson, R Overton, S Maguire, J Stewart, D Martin, S Whittingham.
