WAKEFIELD Angling Club junior Luke Wrzosek has been selected for the England under-18s team.
The 17 year-old from Normanton will represent his country at the World Championships, in Slovenia, where England’s team of five will go up against the best U18s anglers from the rest of the world.
Wrzosek has been angling since he attended a taster session at the age of 11.
He has gone on to win many major competitions and has gradually progressed through the ranks to become one of the most promising young anglers in the country.
Wrzosek said: I am really proud to be representing England in the World Championships.
“I am both excited and nervous about the event and I will go out to do my very best.”
