Ossett Albion will look to give their Evo-Stik Division 1 North survival hopes a big boost tonight when they welcome New Mills to Dimple Wells (kick-off 7.45pm).
The clash with promotion-chasing Mills is one of Albion’s games in hand on their rivals at the bottom of the division and caretaker managers Richard Tracey and Steve Nicholson will look to make it count.
The pair have yet to taste victory since taking temporary charge following the departure of Albion’s previous management team but they witnessed a battling performance from their troops in a tough clash at high-flying Ramsbottom United at the weekend.
Albion lost 4-3 but battled back from 3-0 down to push their promotion-chasing hosts all the way and the management duo will look for a similar attitude for the full 90 minutes for the visit of the Derbyshire club tonight.
The Ossett club has yet to experience victory in 2013 and have bagged just two points - both away from home - from a possible 36, leaving them in a desperate position near the foot of the table.
Neighbours Ossett Town will also be looking to bounce back from a weekend defeat when they take their turn to visit Ramsbottom tonight (kick-off 3pm).
Town fell to a 1-0 home defeat against Mossley on Saturday and boss Craig Elliott will be looking for more of a creative spark from his troops tonight.
