LIVERPOOL TRIP: The coach will leave Ossett Community Centre at 8.30am on Saturday, April 24 and leave Liverpool at 6.30pm. The dayis organised by Ossett Civic Trust and return coach fare is 16 for adults and 8 for children 14 and under. Civic Trust members receive a 1 discount. Tickets are available from The Ossett Review Office, 4 Dickinson House, Bank Street, Ossett or by phone on 01924 260218 or 276033 but please phone after 6pm.

MAYPOLE CHILDREN'S CENTRE: The centre will be holding a family fitness evening every Tuesday (term time only) between 3.20pm–4.20pm. The evening will include dodge ball, fitball, exercise etc. Come along and have some fun with your children and get fit! Children must be accompanied by an adult and it is free of charge.

FAMILY FUN EVENT: On Sunday, April25 there will be a family fun event at Little Monsters play centre in Ossett between 4.15pm–6.15pm hosted by Christ Church, South Ossett. Come and enjoy a short, family-friendly service followed by an hour of free play. For more info please contact 01924 263311.

OSSETT TOWN UNDER 8's: The team is on the lookout for a goalkeeper to join their team ready for next season when they enter league football. Your child must be born between September 1, 2001 and August 31, 2002. Please contact Craig Stephens on 07825403182 for more information.

BLOOD PRESSURE TESTING: The Rotary Club of Horbury and Ossett Phoenix will be offering free blood pressure testing from their caravan on the car park of the Co-op on Kingsway tomorrow, between 9am–12.30pm. This is part of the national stroke awareness campaign. Please go along and be tested – it could save your life.

COMMUNITY CENTRE: Horbury Victoria Band will be performing at the war memorial community centre, Prospect Road on St George's Day, Friday, April 23. The concert begins at 7pm with a pie and pea supper – there will also be a raffle and a licensed bar. Tickets are 7 each and are available from the centre or by telephone on 01924 274838.
