All Blacks make their mark at rugby union sevens

CRIGGLESTONE All Blacks pulled off a cracking cross-code victory at the East Retford Rugby Union Sevens.

Crigg' travelled into the rugby union heartlands and lifted the Bas Dudley Memorial Shield - at the first time of asking.

The All Blacks won the group stages, losing just one game along the way to last year's champions Hemsworth.

Crigg' beat Gainsborough in the semi-final 40-10, and romped to a 38-10 victory in the final over Clayworth Casuals.

"I was really proud of the lads," said club captain Dale Tilford. "They really stood up and fully deserved to win it."

The man of the tournament title also went Crigg's way, Nick Ementon being the man in question.
