Battling Town secure point at Buxton

Buxton 2 - Ossett Town 2

OSSETT Town twice came from behind to take a share of the spoils against Buxton in the UniBond Premier Division last night.

Dan Sheriffe and Luke Malcher found the back of the net for Town as Paul Lines made it two draws from two games since returning to the manager's hotseat at Stade France.

But they had to do it the hard way after mid-table Buxton twice took the lead in Derbyshire.

Mark Reed broke the deadlock for the hosts 22 minutes in before Sheriffe levelled for the visitors.

Buxton regained the lead going into half-time thanks to Reed's second of the night.

But battling Town ensured a point thanks to Malcher's stgrike ten minutes into the second half.

The pointn keeps Lines' men in with a shout of survival in the UniBond League's top-flight.

Town currently sit five-points behind nearest rivals Burscough but with a game in hand.

And the manner of last night's point at Silverlands will give Lines and his troops plenty of confidence going into Saturday's clash against Marine at Stade France (kick-off 3pm).
