Crowe flies into Elland Road - Richardson to leave United?
LEEDS United are set to make their first signing of the summer with Northampton Town defender Jason Crowe making the trip up the M1 to Elland Road.
Crowe is seen as a replacement for United's out of contract right back Frazer Richardson, but he can also play at centre half or as a defensive midfielder.
The 30-year-old, who once joined Portsmouth from Arsenal in a 1 million deal, will become a free agent on June 30 after four seasons at Sixfields, but has already agreed to sign forms to make him a Leeds player from July 1.
"He's a versatile right-back and he's been a very consistent performer over the past couple of seasons," said manager Simon Grayson.
"I see Jason as another valuable member of our squad."
Crowe played in all four Leeds meetings with Northampton last season, scoring twice for the Cobblers in their 5-2 defeat to United in an FA Cup first round replay in November.
