Ferguson rescues a point for Wakefield FC at Ossett Albion
DELROY Ferguson rescued a point for Wakefield FC in their local derby clash against Ossett Albion today.
Jet-heeled winger Ferguson snatched a 75th minute leveller after Richard Tracey had put Albion ahead at the Warehouse Systems Stadium.
The goal helped the Bears bounce back from a disappointing defeat against Ashington on Saturday which saw them crash out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle.
For Eric Gilchrist's Albion it was their first league point of the new season and builds on the 4-0 thrashing of Selby Town which saw them through to the next round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
In the Premier Division Ossett Town continued their unbeaten start to the season with an impressive 1-0 win at Bradford Park Avenue.
New Town boss Phil Sharpe has enjoyed a good start to his career at Stade France and Mark Bett hit a 68th minute winner at Bradford to give Town their first win of the season.
